Build Guide

Projector

This projector delivers full smart capabilities in 4K at an excellent price. With a 15′ × 8.5′ screen and a 20-foot throw distance, it fills the view well.

Impact Screen

The Carlofet screen came highly recommended and lived up to it. If the budget allows, add the optional flaps for protection and a more finished look. Aim for a 16:9 ratio to avoid empty bars at the sides.

Launch Monitor

Square Golf delivers accurate tracking, full-course simulation, and useful swing data without a monthly subscription.

Garage Setup

Plan for at least 9 feet of ceiling height. A wall-mounted garage-door opener frees up valuable overhead space and improves swing clearance.

Screen Frame

Leave about one extra inch around the screen edges. More space can create excess bounce-back. Tee connectors allow side overhangs that can be secured with sandbags.

Wall Protection

Add backdrop curtains beside the screen. A golf ball moving at 144 mph can go straight through drywall—this recommendation comes from experience.

Ambiance

Behr “North Woods” creates a deep, comfortable room that feels right for practice sessions, family time, and game day.

Lighting

Four-inch recessed lights keep the room modern and provide enough illumination for launch tracking without washing out the projector.
